Living Earth is more than a name. It's who we are.
Living Earth® specializes in recovering and returning organic material back to the environment for beneficial reuse.
We provide communities and businesses with healthy, environmentally-safe options to keep yard trimmings, woody materials, and other organic discards out of landfills, recycling and re-purposing those materials instead.

Together with our customers, we are reducing the volume of green and vegetative material sent to local landfills by over one million tons each year, making a positive impact on greenhouse gas reduction and water conservation.
Our Story
In 1985, Living Earth® opened its first store in Houston. The mission has always been the same: to produce high-quality, affordable garden and landscape products for landscape architects, municipalities, contractors, schools, home gardeners and more.

Today, with 28 locations across Houston, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Nashville and Knoxville, Living Earth® is a leading recycler of brush, leaves and grass clippings and manufacturer of organic mulch, soil, compost and other landscaping materials in Texas and Tennessee.

Many of our Living Earth® locations focus on recycling green waste and manufacturing earth-friendly gardening and landscaping products. Moreover, every single location offers gardening materials ideal for your project. We welcome anyone interested in sustainable gardening.​

If soil, mulch, compost or aggregate delivery is preferred, give us a call. Our large fleet of landscape delivery trucks are unmatched in the industry. With an order that meets a required minimum quantity, we can deliver our quality mulch, compost, soil mixes, sand, gravel, rock or stone and other gardening and landscaping products right to your home or site.

Our Products
Utilizing green waste, the Living Earth® team creates earth-friendly soil amendments and mulches for earth conscious gardeners, landscapers and garden centers. When you use our compost, soils and mulches, you return beneficial organic matter back to nature. Gardens grow to produce food and residuals that can again be collected and recycled.

We work hand in hand with cities, private businesses and the local community to keep organic matter out of the landfill. By better managing these resources, we help keep more than 1,000,000 tons of green material from being buried in landfills each year. Some of our landfill locations may offer free recycling to residents. Please call to determine fee before you visit.

Living Earth® uses sustainable methods to recycle and reuse locally diverted organics collected from commercial generators, cities and service companies to create chemical-free soil amendments.
